Chassis

• The plastic on the rear of the chassis and the filter housing have been upgraded to lower the potential of melted plastic in the event of a power outage or fan failure.
• The UV mounting holes have been relocated
• A new vibration damper has been added near the fan to prevent fan noise from reverberating through the metal chassis.
• The access hole for the fan was enlarged to prevent vibration in the chassis.

Electronics

• Relocated the fan and high limit switches to prevent rear filter housing from damage in the event of power outage or fan failure
• The fan motor has been completely re-engineered with a new armature housing to prevent dirt from interfering with the fan operation
• The overall length of the fan has been increased by 5 mm.
• The fan mounting bushings have been upgraded
• A new UV module has been designed and tooled with more secure mounting system to prevent dislodging during shipping
• IR bulbs were lengthened by 2mm to insure proper contact
• A new clip system was designed with ceramic mounting to insure proper electrical connection with the IR bulb

30,000 Hour Far Infrared Heating Elements

     Our far infrared emitters are designed to last a minimum of
30,000 hours instead of the standard 5,000 hour rating on most other infrared emitters.

 Easily Serviceable - Replace Heating Elements in Minutes

New ceramic and stainless quick-connect terminals for easy servicing. Infrared emitters can be replaced in just a few minutes without special skills. This avoids the 3-4 week turn-around time required to ship a heater back to the manufacturer for warranty or repair. You'll never have to be without your heater when you need it.

High Efficiency Heat Exchanger

The new BioSmart® heat exchanger provides enhanced

copper ionization for maximum conversion of infrared waves into a more absorbable bandwidth of far-infrared (7-10 microns). 

Quiet, High-Output Scroll Fan 

BioSmart® heaters have a single high-output scroll fan system twice as quiet as other heaters.

Full-Function Remote Control

• BioSmart® heaters have a full-function electronic thermostat - This new thermostat replaces the standard mechanical thermostat found on other brands. Provides sensitive control of room temperatures to 1 degree.

• BioSmart® heaters have a Delayed Start function - you can delay when your heater turns on up to 23 hours from the time you set it. This feature provides versatility and additional energy efficiency.

• Modular Design & Serviceability Features - Our Infrared heaters all have serviceability features not found in any other portable heaters. In the unlikely event that a component must be replaced, the BioSmart® heater is designed for complete component replacement in just a few minutes. Parts are always available through our Customer Service or your BioSmart dealer.

• BioSmart® heaters have an impeccable safety record. All wiring is located outside of the heat exchanger and is enclosed inside a solid ¾ in wood case, or, as with our plastic models, enclosed inside an ABS 94-VO fire retardant plastic. There is also a thermal high limit cut off switch inside the heat exchanger which will shut the unit off if the internal temperature exceeds the design parameters. Additional ceramic insulation plates ensure that the cabinets stay cool to the touch so that it is safe around children and pets.

Important Information In the Manual:

• Try placing the heater near a warmer inside wall (can be as little as 12 inches near that wall) and direct the output toward a cooler outside wall. The heater can be far from this wall. The cooler outside wall will tend to draw the generated heat towards it, which will allow for more efficient heating. We have our heater centrally located.   
• Placing the heater next to a cold air return will draw the heat away from the area to be heated. Try closing or covering the cold air return. This will allow for more efficient heating. Experiment with the placement of the heater to see what works best for you.
