Golden Illumination's Whole House Unit Filter Contains Synthetic Aluminum Oxide absorbant media. Specifically designed to have a high affinity for Fluoride, Lead and Arsenic. It removes metals through a mixture of adsorption and chemical reaction with the media, therefore, the elimination is not reliant on ion exchange. It has uniform particle size, is physically stable and can be used over a wide pH range. We provide you with the most effective, healthy, great-tasting water, conveniently, at the most affordable price. Our products are attractive, easy to install and use, and removes more than 500 contaminants from water. 8 Stage Water Filtration Flow of 2.5 - 5 GPM reduce fluorides below 0.5 ppm Conveniently provides 160,000 gallons of quality water (1-3 years, or when the flow of water automatically will either stop or slow down greatly.) The MCL established for drinking water by the US EPA is 4 mg/l. In stage 1, Water flows through a 20" sediment filter cartridge that removes sediment, silt, sand and dirt. Also extends the life of the water filters. In stages 2 and 7, Water passes through pre and post one micron filter pads (1 micron equals 1/25,000th of an inch), which removes suspended particles such as silt, sediment, cyst (Giardia, Cryptosporidium) sand, rust, dirt, and other undissolved matter. In stage 3, Water passes granulated activated carbon reduces chlorine, bad tastes and odors, reduces pesticides (Lindane, atrazine and 2,4-D) and chemicals that are linked to cancer risk (benzene, TTHM"s and toxaphene.) In stage 4, Water passes the ion exchange resin reduces heavy metals such as lead, copper, aluminum, and water hardness. In stages 5 and 6, Water passes through KDF 55 and KDF 85 reduce iron, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, cadmium, aluminum, lead, other dissolved metals and hydrogen sulfide and inhibits bacterial growth, algae, fungi, scale, and other microorganisms.
